OBJECTIVE 01

A single, coordinated platform

Bring all lawfully registered and recognised private sector skills development, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions, skill training centres and related organisations under one common platform for mutual cooperation, exchange of experience, capacity building and coordination.

OBJECTIVE 02

Quality assurance

Support member institutions in improving training quality, quality assurance, curriculum development, assessment methods, training management and certification processes in line with national and international standards.

OBJECTIVE 03

Coordination with authorities

Work with NSDA, BTEB, relevant ministries, government and autonomous bodies, development partners, industries, employers and other stakeholders — developing the sector and protecting the legitimate interests of member institutions.

OBJECTIVE 04

Professional development

Conduct training, Training of Trainers (TOT), workshops, seminars, conferences and research to raise the professional competence of trainers, assessors and training managers and ensure continuous professional development.

OBJECTIVE 05

New trades and standards

Develop new trades, courses, competency standards and training programmes aligned with current and future labour-market demand, Industry 4.0, the digital economy and emerging technology, and submit recommendations to the relevant authorities.

OBJECTIVE 06

Inclusive skills development

Encourage inclusive and equitable skills development that expands employment and self-employment opportunities for youth, women, persons with disabilities, marginalised communities and the unemployed.

OBJECTIVE 07

Knowledge and best practice

Build a more effective, modern and internationally comparable skills sector through the exchange of information, technology, research, innovation, best practices and experience among member institutions.

OBJECTIVE 08

Alignment with SDGs and ILO

Take up activities that support the development of skilled human resources in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ILO policies and the national skills development policy of Bangladesh.

OBJECTIVE 09

Local and international collaboration

Undertake lawful cooperation, memoranda of understanding, joint ventures, research and capacity-building activities with educational institutions, industries, development agencies, professional bodies and international organisations.

OBJECTIVE 10

Other lawful activities

Adopt and implement other lawful and public-welfare activities necessary to fulfil the objectives, subject to prevailing law and the approval of the relevant authorities.

OBJECTIVE 11

Policy dialogue and advice

Take up activities including dialogue, communication, policy formulation and revision, and advisory support at government, private and international levels.

Provided that: the Foundation shall not engage in any political activity, commercial profit-making, or any activity contrary to prevailing law.
