A sector that needed a common voice
We, the undersigned founders, resolved to establish a non-profit, non-political and service-oriented organisation — the Bangladesh Private Sector Skills Development Foundation — through the combined effort of training institutions, trainers, entrepreneurs and professionals engaged in the private sector skills development sector of Bangladesh.
The organisation was formed to coordinate technical and skills development training institutions, assure quality, develop competence, and contribute to the employability of the national workforce and the growth of remittance earnings at both national and international levels.
The Foundation is conducted in accordance with the prevailing laws of Bangladesh, government policy, and the rules of the relevant authorities. All of its activities are carried out on the basis of transparency, accountability, good governance and public welfare.
This constitution has been framed following the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Where the future work of the Foundation requires it, necessary registration may be obtained and appropriate amendments may be made in accordance with the law.
Article 1 — Name, nature and offices
- ✓ The name is Bangladesh Private Sector Skills Development Foundation, in short BPSSD Foundation.
- ✓ It operates as a non-profit, non-political, voluntary and non-communal social organisation, registered under prevailing law.
- ✓ The Foundation has its own distinct seal and logo, approved by the Executive Committee.
- ✓ Branch offices may be established across the country by decision of the Executive Committee.
- ✓ Activities extend throughout Bangladesh.
